Zone IV Track & Field Meet

On behalf of the member schools of Zone IV, welcome to the 2011 Zone IV Track & Field Meet. I know that this championship will provide all participants with an exciting and memorable experience.
On the Zone IV Track and Field Website, you will find all the rules, regulations, and standards needed for the upcoming season. General Information

| Scratch Meeting – 8:30 am |
| Parking – All Vehicles should be parked at the Arena parking lots. |
| Canteen and Washrooms are available at the north-west corner of the track. |
Awards – banners in all categories will be presented to the winning schools at
the Provincial track meet. All results posted at the meet are unofficial.
Official results will be posted on the website by noon on Friday June 3rd. |

| Eligibility Sheets – due date May 16th |
| ENTRY DEADLINE IS MAY 27th by 12:00pm. |
ADDITIONAL ENTRY INFORMATION: Individual competitors may compete in a
maximum of four events, one of which must be a relay. Athletes may be entered in a maximun of 2 relays. Multi-event athletes may also compete in one relay and/or one individual event. If students scratch out of an
event they should scratch all events. Athletes should have achieved Zone standard
in order to compete at he Zone Meet. Throws & jumps will have a minimum distance
line to throw or jump past. Attempts short of this line will not be recorded. |
PROVINCIAL ENTRIES: The top three finishers per event plus others that
meet the provincial standard will automatically be entered for Provincial competition in Winnipeg, June 9-11. If your athlete(s) achieved standard at a meet other than the Zone Championships, please let me know by the end of the Zone Championships with the appropriate info included. |
Implement weights are listed on page 61 of your handbook. Note that the Jr/Sr Girls and Jr Boys use a 4kg shot while the Sr Boys use a 5kg shot. All boys use a 1.5 kg discus. All boys use a 700 gram javelin.
