Our intramural program is very popular with the student body of Garden Valley Collegiate. During any given day we have between 60 and 100 students either participating or observing the games. We run a variety of sports and games throughout the year including: flag football, volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, floor hockey, and badminton to name a few.
In between intramural sports we offer Open Gym time where students are allowed to access various equipment to play with during the noon hour. All activities are organized and administered by a PE teacher. Staff involvement and participation is also encouraged. During most of the activities a staff team will be entered to compete against the student teams.
The intramural program provides students an outlet to socialize, develop individual sport skills and have some fun before heading back to class in the afternoon.
